Naming Fight for the Future Education Fund or Fight for the Future as a Beneficiary of Your Life Insurance Plan, Your Retirement Account or Your Bank Account

You can list Fight for the Future Education Fund (FFTFEF) or Fight for the Future, Inc (FFTF) as the only beneficiary, as a partial primary beneficiary, or as the contingent successor beneficiary, whereby FFTFEF or FFTF will receive the benefits only if a named individual beneficiary predeceases you. It’s easy to change the beneficiary designation of your accounts without changing your will or other aspects of your estate plan. Just ask your insurance company, bank or investment firm for forms that will allow you to designate FFTFEF or FFTF as a beneficiary.

Bequests

Specific bequest: You decide exactly how much money, which assets or what percentage of your estate will pass to Fight for the Future Education Fund or Fight for the Future, Inc after your death. Here’s some suggested bequest language:

“I hereby give and bequeath [amount in dollars or percentage amount] to Fight for the Future Education Fund, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization incorporated under the laws of Nevada in 2013, having the federal tax identification number 45-2852041, to be used for the accomplishment of its general purposes.”

“I hereby give and bequeath [amount in dollars or percentage amount] to Fight for the Future, Inc, a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of Massachusetts in 2013, having the federal tax identification number 45-3951426, to be used for the accomplishment of its general purposes.”

NOTE: If you prefer, you may designate a specific purpose for our use of your bequest. If you prefer to make a restricted gift, please contact us before finalizing arrangements so that we can be sure we’ll be able to fulfill your wishes.

Residuary bequest: You can specify the portion of your estate that will pass to Fight for the Future Education Fund or Fight for the Future, Inc after other designated beneficiaries receive their gifts and after expenses are paid.

Contingent bequest: All or a portion of your estate will pass to Fight for the Future Education Fund or Fight for the Future, Inc only if the named beneficiaries do not survive you.

Gifts of Publicly Traded Securities

These are easy to give and offer great tax advantages. Stock can be transferred electronically and donors can receive substantial relief from capital gains taxes. The donated security must be owned for more than one year.
