Event: Studio behind ‘The Social Dilemma’ launches new video series & campaign with leading advocacy org on algorithmic bias and how to take back the Internet
On Thursday, November 16 at 3pm ET, award-winning social impact film studio Exposure Labs will release its newest video series in partnership with digital rights advocacy organization Fight for the Future.
Creating Tech Futures is a three-part, short video series that uncovers the realities of algorithmic bias, its IRL consequences, and how we can return to determining our own outcomes. The videos highlight a diverse group of leaders in the tech policy and design space, including Vinhcent Le, Sr. Legal Counsel of Tech Equity at Greenlining Institute, Sneha Revanur, the 18-year old Founder/President of Encode Justice, and artist and designer Annika Hansteen-Izora, Head of Design at Somewhere Good.
The video series will be hosted on the campaign site TakeBackOurInternet.org, where Fight for the Future will encourage viewers to take action to demand lawmakers pass “Good Internet Bills” to protect privacy, prohibit censorship, stop discrimination, and encourage a free and open Internet.
